Ugh, the deathfic version of this was so depressing that I was depressed. Instead of the coma, Sam died, and Dean traveled alone, looking for the succubus. It ended something with Dean standing in the graveyard with Nate, and Nate calling Dean "Dad." None of the creepy, shapeshifter powers for the kid, but damn, it was depressing. (And I decided that crackfic plus deathfic would just be digging my own damn grave anyway...)
